The first Spyderco Mule Team blade in 52100, handled in Yew Burr

I started this one back in 2013 with a
carbon fibre and orange G10 handle. (
First shown here) It didn't go to plan so had the
handle removed and then was left for some time waiting for the right
materials to present themselves.
Luckily I had the opportunity to purchase an amazing set of Yew Burr scales. They really are a wonder of nature!
I have also added a forced patina to the blade surface, the steps shown here:
Forced patina.
52100
is a carbon steel so will rust without care or oxide / patina even with
care. Forcing a patina at the start can negate that, plus it looks
cool!
Thankfully a leather sheath suits this very well!
