This is now complete. The handle is Spalted Birch with two stainless steel Corby bolts holding the handle on.
I love the pattern in the handle from the spalting and it matches from side to side really well.
I think the sheath deserves a few pictures. This was made by Joel and I really like it. (One to add to the to-do list!) It has two carry options - horizontal or vertical (slightly angled)

Edit:
It was requested that the sheath was made tighter as previously tyhe knife had a tendency to slip out.
I wet formed the sheath around the profile of the handle so the leather gripped round the contours.
