Just a quick one....
All glued up and I smoothed off one side to see how the woods are going to look together. I think it'll be great!
It ended up with the blade wonky to the main block but that's not a major issue as there's plenty of space to straighten it up by selective shaping.
I have a little trick for marking the centre line, after struggling lots of times in the past with rulers and string.
By using a laser spirit level, I can get a straight line that conforms to uneven surfaces easily, where in the past getting the ruler or whatever to sit flat has been quite tricky.
All done and ready to go.
A little bit taken of the side as well.
